About the Author
Michael Prescott was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Wesleyan University, majoring in film studies. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a screenwriter. In 1986 he sold his first novel, and has gone on to pen six thrillers under the name Brian Harper and ten books as Michael Prescott. He has sold more than one million print copies and is finding a large new audience through e-books. Fan-favorite character Abby Sinclair, the stalker s stalker first introduced in The Shadow Hunter, has since appeared in three more books.

Death came to Tuskett, California and his name was Kane

Before he was Michael Prescott and Brian Harper, Douglas Borton published five or six novels under his own name in the late eighties and nineties. Kane was one of those novels.
Tuskett, California, population twenty-three received a visitor shambling through the desert dressed in black. Anyone who encountered him knew that he was trouble. During the course of one apocalyptic night, the population of Tuskett declined due to Kane. No one knew who he was, but they knew he was out to make Tuskett a ghost town.
Kane is a well-written novel filled with real, flesh-and-blood characters that readers will care about. The night that the novel takes place is an agonizingly suspenseful experience. This is one of the trademarks of a Michael Prescott novel. I, for one, hope that he will continue to re-issue his earlier books into the Kindle format so we can read his entire canon. Michael Prescott is one of my "can't miss" authors. When I see a new book of his, I instinctively click on purchase. Hopefully, you will too. Well done, Mr Borton...or Harper...or Prescott, whoever you are! Thank you for a shivery reading experience!

Douglas Borton (Michael Prescott pseudonym) is BACK with a Vengeance with KANE

Michael Prescott, under the pseudonym Douglas Borton, wrote some excellent horror novels (see below) at the tail end of the 1980s horror boom. I have all 5 Douglas Borton paperbacks (new condition) and look forward to getting all of them on e-books to re-read. If you want a good horrifying read KANE will satisfy the most jaded Horror reader.

What A Thriller:

I just finished "Kane" by Michael Prescott and had to leave a few words.
If you enjoy "chillers" and "thrillers" in the likes of King & Koontz, you came to the right place.
I couldn't put this book down, I hope it doesn't haunt my dreams...
If this introduces you to Michael Prescott, you are in for a wonderful ride.
Read "Kane" and you will want more.
